LabTrak
is a modular pathology laboratory system that
has been designed to integrate with a complete
hospital management system, or to function as
a self-contained, fully featured package for
the modern dynamic pathology practice.
The
design emphasis of LabTrak has centred on full
functionality and flexibility, offering a diverse
range of display capabilities that fully exploits
the current Microsoft Windows / Workgroups workplace.
Apart
from providing standard pathology practice requirements,
the functionality of LabTrak extends to the
exporting of information. Data and information
can be conveyed to ODBC-compliant products and
ASCII transfer of reports is possible to most
PC software packages. The automatic faxing of
results, the ability to access the system remotely,
accessing lab result inquiries via the Internet,
and the scanning of source documents will provide
a professional edge for the expanding practice.
The
basis of any successful system is the efficient
and comprehensive collection of patient data.
This process is initiated by patient registration
and concludes with result reporting. All patient
and specimen data, whether it is collection,
testing, service charges, clinical history,
or financial data is maintained on-line. This
data is then used by the laboratory to support
retrospective analysis and strategic planning.
Data
remains as data until it can be put to effective
use. It then becomes information. LabTrak provides
you with information relating to the individual
patient, the referring doctor and the collection
Centre, ward, or hospital location.
The
LabTrak modules provide the framework for a
comprehensive database for each patient and
their respective specimen(s). All data required
to provide a complete, accurate, and speedy
registration is entered on-line. Consequently,
all enquiries to the database produce current
information.
LabTrak
is the next generation healthcare product from
Trak Systems. LabTrak takes off where others
leave off. It includes full functionality plus
significant enhancements in design and capability.
